Welcome Swift Arrow

Hey everybody,

My name is Chas “Swift Arrow” Sharp and I am stoked to be joining the Y Guides team.  You might remember me from Spring Outings down at Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer the past few years where I worked for Camp.  I am no stranger to the YMCA or Y Guides, having participated in Y Guides with my dad in the mid-90’s as participants, trailblazers, and then LBC.  Growing up, I also was an active participant in the Cary YMCA youth programs and at Camp Sea Gull during the summers (Ahoy!).

I grew up in Apex, NC then went to NC State for college where I graduated with a degree in Program Management.  I joined the Camp Sea Gull team after college as an intern at first, then as a full-time member of their director team as their Director of Operations.

When I’m not wearing my vest, you can catch me outside somewhere around the water.  I love fishing and sailing any chance that I get.

My favorite thing about working with the Y is seeing the positive impact that we can have on our participants as well as our community as a whole.  I look forward to getting to know all of y’all even better and see some of you this fall up at Rockmont.
