Flight Day - 2019
Spring is in the air which means so are our kites! Join us for “Flight Day at Dorothea Dix Park,” sponsored by the YMCA of the Triangle Y Guides program and the City of Raleigh on Saturday, March 16.
Bring your kites or other homemade flying machines and rockets and spend time enjoying your friends, family, and Y Guides tribe in the beautiful outdoors. Y Guides participants qualify for early entry to the event at 1 p.m. The public is welcome from 2-4 p.m. There will be food trucks, kite vendors, and some of your favorite Y Guides and YMCA of the Triangle staff!
This is a free event but please click here to register if you plan to attend this event. Having a count of how many people to expect helps us plan and we can contact you in the event of inclement weather. If inclement weather occurs the event will be canceled and will not be rescheduled.

WHAT TO BRING
Kites, rockets, rocket launcher pad, rocket motors, chairs, coolers, snacks, sunscreen and tribe meeting supplies. You must bring your own supplies, but we will have a kite vendor on site selling kites & supplies and available for repairs.
If you cannot make it Saturday there are two options: flying on your own or at Camp for Spring Outing (kites only). Either way, we will have patches to pick up at the Camp Store at your Spring Outing weekend if needed.
