FRIDAY
Plan to arrive at Camp between 3 – 9 p.m. Camp activities will be open from 3:30 – 6 p.m.
Each group will be responsible for their own dinner on Friday night. There are lots of great restaurants in Black Mountain and Asheville to choose from! We'll kick off the weekend with ice cream in the Dining Hall on Friday evening!
SATURDAY
Saturday is going to be a great day at Camp! The morning begin with Coffee & Hot Chocolate at the Dining Hall, followed by breakfast. All meals throughout the weekend will be served “cafeteria-style” in the Dining Hall. Buffet lines will be staffed so that serving utensils will not be shared. Mealtimes will be split into several “seatings” throughout the day. You will receive specific instructions about your mealtimes upon arrival at Camp.
We are excited to provide many of your favorite traditional camp activities at Camp Rockmont: archery, BBs, the zip line, paddle sports, the Gully Washer, the waterfront and more. We will have visuals in place that will help to encourage social distancing as lines from at our more popular activities. You and your group may have a specific assigned time that you will have access to the most popular activities, such as the zip line or the waterfront. You will learn more upon arrival. Thanks in advance for cooperating with the social distancing measures that will be in place.
Activities will close for about 90 minutes in the afternoon for a lunch break, but will reopen for several hours in the afternoon.
Saturday evening will feature a Lakeside Cookout, followed by evening activities and programming.
SUNDAY
We’ll finish our time at Camp Rockmont strong with Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Breakfast, a Sunday morning Devotion and another morning full of camp activities. Activities will close at 12 p.m. Before heading home on Sunday, please leave your cabin looking sharp by placing tied garbage bags on your cabin porch, turning off all lights and fans, closing and securing all shutters, and checking lockers, cubbies and under bunks/bed pockets for any items left behind. Travel home safely!
