There's nothing like Spring Outing! Held at YMCA Camp Sea Gull and YMCA Camp Seafarer in Arapahoe, NC (right outside of New Bern), you'll spend a weekend in cabins with your Crew. You'll have a great time whether you're digging for sharks' teeth or going down the zip line. There is something for everyone!
We are excited to host four Spring Outing weekends on the Crystal Coast in 2026. The dates are as follows:
- April 17-19
- April 24-26
- May 1-3
- May 8-10
This year, we are using a form to gauge your Crew’s preference in Spring Outing weekend dates. The Captain of your Crew, fill out this form by December 5. This is an optional form- if we don’t receive a submission from your crew, we will still assign you a weekend. Everyone will receive their Spring Outing assignment on December 10 by email, and the assignment sheet will be posted below as well.
Registration will open and links will be sent via email on January 5th.

Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer offer all of the activities listed below. If Guides go to every activity area, they earn a special prize!

First-Years: Bring your Sharks Teeth Sifter to Camp!
Second-Years: Build a Trail Marker as a Crew!
Third-Years: Work with your Crew to build your very own Raft for the Third-Year Raft Race!
CANCELATION INFORMATION
Cancelations received up to five business days prior to the event will receive a full refund minus a $25/person processing fee. Cancelations received the Monday through Thursday of the event week will result in a refund of half the event fee per person. No refunds will be given for canceling on the Friday of the event or after the event has passed.
