Thank You, Dancing Penguin

Pals and Friends,

We wanted to share some exciting – but bittersweet – news with you: Our friend Kate “Dancing Penguin” Gross has started a new adventure with the YMCA of the Triangle. Kate is now our YMCA’s Senior Director of Association Teen Programs. In this role, she will give leadership to our Civic Engagement programs such as Youth & Government and Middle School UN. She will also support Association Teen programs, including Y Staff, teen membership initiatives, Leaders Club and Teen Trips. Kate has tremendous passion for working with teens and has already jumped into her new role, providing leadership and mentorship for the next generation of YMCA leaders.

Dancing Penguin’s impact on Y Guides will be a lasting one. She had a tremendous talent for building strong relationships with dads, kids and volunteers. Additionally, her attention to detail while providing excellent program experiences was top notch. We will miss having her enthusiasm and unparalleled dancing skills in the Y Guides community, but we are thrilled that she’ll be able to continue to share her talents with the YMCA in her new role. We’re grateful to be able to count on Kate as a Pal Forever and Friend Always.

We invite you to leave your well-wishes for Dancing Penguin on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Share your favorite memories, stories and pictures. Thank you, Dancing Penguin, for your commitment to Y Guides. You will be missed!
