This event was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 9. On Wednesday, Jan. 6, Governor Roy Cooper announced a three-week extension of the modified Stay At Home Order that requires people to be home between 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. Additionally, Secretary Mandy Cohen issued a new Secretarial Directive that cautions - in stark terms - against leaving home for any reason other than work, school, exercise, healthcare needs or groceries. For that reason, the Y Guides team has come to the decision to postpone all in-person Y Guides events through the end of January. This event has been tentatively re-scheduled for Saturday, March 13.
This year has been all about providing Y Guides' traditional and signature events, but with a bit of a spin to ensure safety amidst COVID-19. That's why we're turning the 2021 Winter "Inning" into a Winter Drive-In! Bring the whole family out and join us for a Drive-In Movie at Camp Kanata. We'll be screening Toy Story 4! Everybody in your car will receive a special patch.
