Oriental - "Oriental, a quaint town about 10 minutes fr Seagull, has a couple of good restaurants for a late lunch or early dinner coming in on Friday. I recommend Toucans for a burger or Silos for good pizza."

Beaufort
General Store, 515 Front St, Beaufort, NC 28516 - "If you really want to go the distance, leave at 8 a.m. on Friday, arrive in Beaufort before noon, then take the ferry to Shackleford Island (maybe see wild horses), back to Beaufort for early dinner and ice cream at the General Store, then take the Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach Ferry (feed some sea gulls) to camp. Arrive in time for the welcome social. We’ve done this excursion a few times and it's awesome."
