Hey y’all!
My name is Lindsey Kilpatrick "Dashing Fawn", and I am super excited to join the Y Guides team! I was a Y Guide for almost 10 years and had many amazing experiences. From earning my patches, doing the triple thrill at Rockmont, and volunteering during spring outing, Y Guides has had a major impact on my life. The friends I made and the lessons I learned stuck with me through life and I can’t wait to once again be part of a program that offers such memorable experiences for kids and dads.
I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Tar Heels!!) with a degree in Human and Organizational Leadership Development. During college I quickly realized my passion for youth oriented programs, which led me to work at a summer camp for two summers during college. Similar to Y Guides, I also attended that camp as a child, so I guess you could say I am passionate about returning to the communities that shaped me. I am excited to bring my experience into this role and help run a program that has such a positive impact on people.
Aside from my Y Guides role you can find me reading a book or spending time with my friends and family. If it’s football and basketball season, I’ll be wearing my Carolina blue and cheering on the Tar Heels. I also love going to the beach, listening to country music, and playing board games.
