Raleigh Rescue Mission

Raleigh Rescue Mission was founded in 1961 to minister to the growing needs of homeless and hurting men, women and children in our community. Raleigh Rescue Mission has helped thousands of people begin their journey toward lasting life change by meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Donations are down and they are currently in need of food, warm clothes, blankets, etc.

Annual Campaign

Our Annual Campaign allows children, families and adults to participate in the YMCA programs that you and your family love – regardless of their ability to pay. Our goal this year is to raise $125,000 from Y Guides tribes. 100% of which will go back into the community. See how the Y creates positive change in our community.

A campaign to change lives

What better way to teach your child the power of giving back! Your tribe can provide the money needed to change someone's life. Whether it's $160 to send a child to day camp for one week, $269 to help a pair make it to Spring Outing, or $1,038 to provide a year of Lightner Y Achievers for a minority teen.

Your crew will have an opportunity at Fall Outing at Camp Kanata to complete your pledge and pick up your Annual Campaign patches.

The crew will be billed in February for their pledge, and the gifted amount will be due by the end of the Y Guides' calendar year in May.

Tribes that pledge $500 or more will also receive the inaugural Golden Feather Society patch.

To add a little Y Guides' spirit into the campaign we have brought back the prize lottery again. Any tribe that donates at the $500 level or higher will be entered into a prize drawing which includes,

  • FREE Spring Outing OR Rockmont for an entire tribe
  • FREE Winter Inning Tickets for an entire tribe
  • FREE program fees for an entire tribe
  • A catered tribe party with Golden Otter, Blue Dolphin and Sea Puppy
  • Reserve any cabin at Spring Outing

If your crew pledges at the $1,000 level, your name will be entered in the drawing 10 times!

NC State Wolfpack

NC State has been a great sponsor of Y Guides events. From men's basketball at the PNC Arena to tennis at the Isenhour Tennis Center, the Pack loves the support of Y Guides participants. Many events include a patch!

Keep an eye on the Y Guides event calendar all year round for opportunities to spend time with the Wolfpack!

If you want to plan an event for your tribe at an NC State athletic event, but you do not see the event listed above, contact Emma Dement to explore more possibilities.
