Where were you born?
I was born in Marietta, GA (outside Atlanta) and raised in Huntersville, NC (outside Charlotte.)
What did you want to be when you grew up?
It changed often! My parents liked to say that my interests went through some extreme phases while growing up. Among the answers you would have gotten; a DJ, magician, professional mascot, motivational speaker, and general manager of an amusement park.
What are your favorite hobbies?
My favorite hobbies include catching up with friends, walking in the outdoors, riding my motorcycle, or watching college sports (Go Tar Heels!)
What do you enjoy most about working for the Y guides?
I am most excited to provide awesome opportunities for our participants! I loved camp weekends growing up and spending time with a group of goofy, enthusiastic volunteers. I know that I will both feed off, and amplify the level of contagious energy surrounding our program.
If you could visit anywhere, where would you go?
I would love to visit Australia and Thailand. I enjoy scuba diving and tropical climates, I think I would have a spectacular visit!
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in life?
Trust the process, use your support system, and smile. I know those are really 3 different things but each have their own level of importance. Don’t rush life, take it in stride and prioritize investing in your communities and friendships.
