Come to the North Carolina State Capitol Saturday, November 8 to join historians reading children’s books about the state’s Revolutionary history! Staff from the North Carolina Historical Research and Publications office will read Within Our Power: The Story of the Edenton Ladies' Tea Party and Blue’s March: An Overmountain Men Tale.
Both books will be available for purchase.
Readings will take place in the Capitol at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm.
This event is free and open to all; no registration necessary.
Story Time is presented in partnership with Y Guides of the Triangle. Local Y Guides and their families are encouraged to attend if you aren’t already headed to a Third-Year Fall Outing overnight – the first 50 Y Guides in the Capitol will get a free Capitol patch! (After 50, patches will be sold to participants for $1.00 each.)
