Dads, get the chance to embrace adventure with your child through the Y Guides program!
From attending exciting tribe meetings each month to watching them ride the zip line for the first time at Spring Outing, this program will help build the father/ child relationship every step of the way.
Registration opens in September. In the meantime, here are some helpful tips that you can begin thinking about.
TRIBE FORMATION
You will spend the next three years in the program with a Tribe, a group of dads with kids of the same age and gender. We have found the optimal number for a Tribe is between 6 - 10 pairs. Many Tribes are formed with neighbors, classmates, sports teams, etc. of the same age and gender. Your Tribe must be formed before the First Year Dad Training in September.
1) You may gather a group of dads/daughters or dads/sons
OR
2) Let us help you find a Tribe!
We will help you to form a Tribe with others near you based on zip code, age, and gender. Fill out our online Find a Tribe Form. After you have completed the form, we will be in touch with more details.
First Year DADS TRAINING
All dads who are new to the Y Guides program are encouraged to attend the First Year Dads Training. This meeting will give you all the information that you need to get started in the program. You will also turn in your registration forms and receive your first patches here.
